Rosannagh is proud to have joined charity Platform Earth alongside long-term collaborator Flora Fairbairn as curators of their inaugural fundraising initiative, details of which will be announced soon.
Flora and Rosannagh will work with the charity to develop a world class programme of exhibitions, installations, and lectures to dramatically alter the narrative on art production and consumption, while raising funds through the sale of art, ensuring that critical environmental concerns remain integral to the cultural sector.
About the Charity
Platform Earth is a brand new charity that engages artists as agents of change to participate in exhibitions in aid of the environment. They will raise funds for projects and organisations that mitigate the effects of climate change, with a focus on natural marine carbon capture, which takes carbon out of the atmosphere and locks it away in nature. They aim to harness the power of the art world to restore marine habitats with the aim of offsetting the UK art world’s carbon emissions via marine carbon capture projects. By working with scientists to produce and deliver on conservation projects that will directly impact climate change and the release of greenhouse gasses their projects will, where possible, work at the forefront of innovative thinking and technology to tackle the climate crisis.
