Now in its 16th year, Free Range returns to the Old Truman Brewery to showcase the breadth of work being produced by the UK’s emerging creatives – both to the public and to the creative industries on the lookout to find the best in up-and-coming talent. Commencing on 10 June, the 2016 edition takes place over five weeks and sees thousands of students exhibit their work across the six disciplines of art, design, illustration, photography, architecture and interior design.
Establishing itself as a key part of London’s cultural calendar, this year’s programme is set to be the largest event to date, and will incorporate a new, sixth category: illustration. Another new addition for 2016 is the introduction of weekly Best in Show awards, chosen by a judging panel of industry experts and Free Range partners, in order to celebrate visionary works from the fields of photography and fine art.
